For 2007, all
juniors
who are MBRA members
and associated with a local Montana club
will race for free.
Non-MBRA juniors will race for $10. For race
promoters, the MBRA "Racer Surcharge" for
MBRA-member Juniors will be waived. Additionally,
the Junior "Scholarship" program currently has $100
set aside for each of the five active Junior race
programs in the state (Missoula, Helena, Great
Falls, Whitefish/Kalispell, Bozeman -- we'll do
the same for Billings, too, if someone wants to
develop a program there). Each program may
determine how best to use these funds, but they must
go toward junior development. Representatives from
the respective programs should contact
John
Weyhrich to make arrangements for funds
distribution.
Junior male racers holding one-day licenses are
eligible to race in any division open to Cat 5 men
or in the Junior division. Junior women holding
one-day licenses are eligible to race in any
division open to Cat 4 women or the Junior
Women
division, but can also race in
the Junior men division or the Elite/Senior men Cat
4 or Cat 5 division. Note that here in Montana, the
Junior division(s) typically races with the Women
but is scored separately.
Rules specific to junior racing can be found
here.
