The Bohart Bash -- Charity
Mountain Bike Race
Sunday, July 13
Bohart Ranch
It's back and better than
ever. The Bohart Bash is a charity mountain bike
race that's organized by
Team WinS. Proceeds go to AWARE's youth recreation
fund. The 8 km course is a
combination of single-track and double-track
suitable for all skill
levels. We've had women come and do the race after
taking the mountain bike
skills clinic. Our first timer category lets you
try out the race by only
doing one lap! Register by filling out a form
(available at most bike
shops around town) and returning it by mail or
register in-person on
Saturday, July 12 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Ridge
Downtown on Mendenhall or
register on the day of the race between 8:30 and
9:30 a.m. In addition to a
fun race, the Bohart Bash is also known for its
most excellent post-race
raffle. Finally we have a great kids race (ages 5
to 11) so consider signing
yourself and your child up to race!
Not interested in racing,
but would still like to be part of the Bohart
Bash? Consider volunteering.
We can use help with everything from
registering people the night
before the race to cutting up fruit for the
racers to eat! For more
information, contact jennymccune@imt.net or give her
a call at 586-7044.
