WEDNESDAY
NIGHT
Once again,
the Missoula Cyclocross Series will kick the season
off in style.
Wednesdays,
5:45 pm start time.
First race
September 28
Five weeks
of racing.
Last race
just slips in before the return to Standard time.
Races will
be 50 minutes plus a lap.
Series entry $20; individual race $5.
One-day
licenses are $10, but you can get an annual good until Dec 31 for $30 if you
don’t have a 2005 license.
Prizes:
beer, cookies, bagels, doughnuts, bread, ice cream, trinkets, gizmos, and
things of that nature.
Series
prizes will be even bigger and better.
I am
negotiating a new venue in the Rattlesnake valley, but if it falls through, all
races will be at Ft Missoula. I’ll keep you posted.
There won’t
be any Jamul to kick around this year, probably, nor
any Tejay. Maybe we’ll see the 29-inch trio of
Robertson, Beltz, and Hartman single-speed their Ramblum rovers around the course. Nah, I bet they’ll all
ride cross bikes. So start your bunnyhopping and
flying dismounts and Roy Rogers remounts and get ready
for some sweet, strictly time-delimited racing.
Wow!
Zing!
Yippee!
Special prizes for bunnyhopping.
