Race Numbering Protocol

Permanent Numbers:

MBRA Division MBRA Number Series

Men Cat. 1,2 1-30

Women Cat. 1,2,3,4 101-125*

Men Masters A 201-230

Men Masters B 231-250

Men Cat. 3 301-325

Men Cat. 4,5 401-450**

* Cat. 4 women will be assigned numbers from the high end of this series (i.e. 125, 124, 123, etc.)

** Juniors who are Cat. 4,5 will be assigned numbers from the high end of this series (i.e. 450, 449, 448, etc.)

To assign a new, permanent MBRA race number:

1. have racer complete top portion of MBRA membership application

2. collect membership application and fee of $15 (cash, or check made out to “MBRA”)

3. determine racer’s desired MBRA race division

4. assign permanent MBRA race number, according to above schedule

5. complete bottom portion of membership application with info from #3 and 4, above

6. distribute set of lycra MBRA race numbers to racer (racer gets a pair of identical numbers)

7. return completed application(s) and fee(s) to MBRA

Rental Numbers:

MBRA Divisions Rental Number Series

Men Cat. 1,2 and Women 560-599

Men Cat. 3 and Masters 780-799

Men Cat. 4,5 450-499

To assign a one-day, rental race number:

1. determine racer’s desired MBRA race division
2. collect $2 number rental fee
3. assign rental number, according to above schedule
4. distribute one paper rental number to racer
5. return fee(s) to MBRA
