5 Valley Velo/Team Stampede
presents
Race sanctioned by USA Cycling USCF permit: pending
The
Course: A challenging
ride over rolling terrain, this event should serve as a nice tune-up for the
Ecology Center Classic events. Located on the frontage road between Bearmouth
and Drummond, this out-and-back course features numerous short climbs and
scenic flats. Race tactics and strategy, and the elements, could prove decisive.
The road surface ranges from smooth asphalt to rough chipseal, and it includes some
random potholes and a few, brief sections of broken pavement. Sturdy tires and wheels
are recommended, and though support vehicles will follow each group, racers may
do well to bring a pump and spare. The racecourse will be open to vehicular
traffic, and the centerline rule will be enforced. This event is part of the
Subaru Montana Cup Series.
