The "Fairfield Road Race" was held May 12, 2001, in the shadow of the Rocky
Mountain Front. Weather was ideal for Bicycle Racing with light winds, blue
skies, and 2001's first day of warm temperatures. Forty-six racers turned
out to test their early season conditioning. No doubt about it, John Weyrich
of the 2,3 division and Rich West of the Masters division were flying and
ready for Ecology next weekend. Thanks to our sponsors, Knicker Biker,
Bighorn Wilderness, Central Bike, and Great Harvest Bread, for making the
race possible.
Thanks especially to my wife, Kristen, who stepped in for our Chief Official
when he had to cancel. Racers and volunteers alike made this an increasingly
