who made the District Championships possible. If you were there, you have

to agree that the weather and racecourses were perfect for good racing.

The old Cow Country Classic road course dished out all of the challenges for

which it is renowned, except for the occasional cattle drives that we've seen

in past years. The racing was fast and furious in the Master/Cat 4,5 pack.

That must have been true for each of the other fields since the largest group

to finish together in any of the fields was no more than 3 riders.

Congratulations to all for the gutsy riding.

The 40 K time trial witnessed some record slow times due to the variability

in different car odometers. We apologize to anyone who was hoping to

accurately gage his or her year to year progress in this event. Even if the

distance wasn't quite perfect, the weather was certainly excellent. We

couldn't have asked for better weather over the entire weekend.

It was especially good to see the good turn out for the women's races.

Fifteen women raced hard for the medals, cash, bragging rights, conviviality,

and personal rewards that every bicycle racer lives for.
